The Skipper Training program is ideal for individuals who have already completed a maritime course and wish to enhance their practical skills. It is designed for those looking to convert their theoretical knowledge into hands-on experience, making it suitable for:

This one-to-one training is tailored to meet the specific needs of each participant, ensuring a personalized learning experience regardless of their current skill level.

During Skipper Training, you will develop a range of advanced maritime skills, including:

• Advanced navigation techniques: Plotting courses, reading nautical charts, and steering by compass.
• Vessel handling and maneuvers: Berthing, anchoring, docking, and managing the vessel in confined spaces.
• Safety procedures and emergency response: Handling man-overboard (MOB) situations, firefighting procedures, and basic onboard safety drills.
• Seamanship fundamentals: Rope work, knot tying, and managing the crew.
• VHF radio communication: Effective onboard communication following maritime protocols.

Each training session is customized to your specific needs, allowing you to focus on areas where you seek improvement—whether that’s gaining confidence with emergency procedures or refining boat handling techniques. We conduct all Skipper Training exclusively on our own training vessels to ensure a consistent, safe, and high-quality learning experience. Our fleet includes:

• Gulf Craft 31 Dolphin Super Deluxe – ZAHRA
• Silvercraft 38 – GAVIOTA
• Sunseeker Manhattan 50 – PEARL

These vessels are fully equipped with safety equipment, navigation tools, and essential amenities such as restrooms and biminis, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment. Each session is led by two experienced instructors to provide thorough supervision and hands-on guidance.

Using our vessels ensures that all insurance and registration requirements are met, providing compliance and peace of mind throughout the training.

To maintain these high standards, we do not conduct training on private boats. 

Yes, to fully benefit from this advanced practical training, participants should have attended a previous pleasure boat course or hold a relevant maritime certificate.

• The 3-hour format also allows instructors to adapt the training to your personal goals, providing adequate time for feedback and improvements.

The fees for Skipper Training include the following:

• Training vessel usage: Access to our well-equipped training yachts, such as ZAHRA, GAVIOTA, or PEARL.
• Two experienced instructors: Each session is supervised by two qualified instructors to provide personalized, hands-on guidance.
• Fuel and operational costs: All operational costs, including fuel, are covered during the training.
• Safety equipment and amenities: Life jackets, navigation tools, restrooms, and other essential onboard facilities.
